BREAKING: Women’s Day Organizers Arrested Outside Trump Tower
International Women’s Day protests got pretty rowdy and resulted in arrests — including the arrest of one of the organizers, Linda Sarsour, outside of Trump Tower today.
Several women were reportedly cuffed and taken into custody after police issued numerous warnings for them to disperse as they were admittedly blocking a road.
We are blocking traffic as a form of civil disobedience in Columbus Circle (outside Trump Hotel). #DayWithoutAWoman

Police gave several warnings to disperse. Sarsour and others refused, one was taken to the ground but other than that pretty smooth arrest. https://t.co/oPjB3bUtLk

To be clear, Sarsour and others were told they would be arrested if they didn’t disperse from the road. Many refused, they arrested ab 12.

We are not sure what precinct we are being taken to at the moment. But we are together, reSisters. #DayWithoutAWoman pic.twitter.com/r10WBikdl8

They’re “together” in a stupid, law-breaking protest. Not exactly something to be proud of.
Apparently the #DayWithoutAWoman protest/strike, whatever it is, meant that in addition to skipping out on work (for those who aren’t professional victims), they also couldn’t be bothered to follow the laws and obtain proper permits.
Although, that doesn’t seem all that different from any other day for leftists, who seem to have a great deal of time on their hands to stage farcical protests and spend their days perpetually outraged for no reason.
Anywho, these women may have “persisted,” but as they found out, persisting in being a lawbreaking tool has consequences.
