Kaepernick’s Girlfriend Just Called Ravens Owner Racist Which Writer Says ‘Just Doomed’ His NFL Season

Ever since he was dropped from the San Francisco 49ers, there’s been an ongoing parlor game about what NFL team Colin Kaepernick could play on next. And with training camp now open, time’s of the essence.

Kaepernick’s National Anthem protest has sunk NFL ratings, but the Baltimore Ravens franchise was giving the struggling quarterback a look.

Now, sportswriter and Fox Sports analyst Clay Travis says that any chance Kaepernick had with the Ravens, indeed the NFL, may have just been destroyed with his girlfriend’s tweet, which likened the Raven’s owner, Stephen Bisciotti, to a plantation owner and its legendary (and troubled) star, retired player Ray Lewis, to an Uncle Tom:

Travis writes on “Outkick the Coverage,” that Kaepernick’s significant other, Nessa Diab, did her man no favors by likening the two to “Django Unchained”:

Every NFL owner will see this Tweet and think, what’s the benefit here? Why would I employ a guy whose problems exceed his talents, a guy to back up my starter that if everything goes well will never see the field at all, when he’s likely to do or say outlandish things that alienate the customers of my business? And when everything his crew of social justice warriors does will also create a never ending media circus around my team?

Many people thought her take was funny, such as ESPN analyst Damien Woody:

But there was an equally popular viewpoint that, if the radio and TV host ever wanted her boyfriend to get an NFL gig again, she should probably not call his potential boss a racist and franchise legend, Ray Lewis, an “Uncle Tom”:

One Twitter user likened her to Yoko Ono — who, for those unfamiliar with her, is blamed for breaking up the Beatles:

Sadly, for Kaepernick, there’s no team for her to break up at this point. And, thanks to the struggling quarterback whose comments on killer cops and how great Cuba is, there may never be.

So far, the MTV and New York radio host hasn’t commented further on her tweet.
