On the day that CNN was pushed to the edge of extinction, Sarah Palin took at huge blow to the New York Times!
She has sued the New York Times for running an editorial on June 14 of this year, which falsely connected her to the shooting of Representative Gabby Giffords where 6 others were killed, in 2011. And she hired Hulk Hogan’s legal team to help her!
Attorneys Ken Turkel, Shane Vogt, and S. Preston Ricardo said in a statement upon filing suit in Federal Court on Sarah Palin’s behalf: “Today, Sarah Palin took a stand against The New York Times Company by filing a lawsuit which seeks to hold The Times accountable for stating that Governor Palin is part of a ‘sickeningly familiar pattern’ of politically motivated violence and that she incited the horrific 2011 shooting of Representative Gabby Giffords, a tragedy where the gunman seriously wounded numerous people and killed 6, including a federal judge and a 9-year-old girl.”

As we wrote, when this story first broke, the New York Times originally published this: “In 2011, when Jared Lee Loughner opened fire in a supermarket parking lot, grievously wounding Representative Gabby Giffords and killing six people, including a 9-year-old girl, the link to political incitement was clear. Before the shooting, Sarah Palin’s political action committee circulated a map of targeted electoral districts that put Ms. Giffords and 19 other Democrats under stylized cross hairs.”
After MUCH backlash, the New York Times edited its editorial smear piece. Multiple times. But Mrs. Palin has had enough!
