Fed-Up Police Comm’r Torches BLM During Funeral for Slain Cop, Gets Standing Ovation

New York Police Commissioner James O’Neil has his hands full having to serve under the anti-cop mayor of New York City, but he got a standing ovation from his troops when he slammed Black Lives Matter for ignoring the brutal murder of officer Miosotis Familia.

Commissioner O’Neil spoke at the funeral service for Officer Familia, who was shot in the head in a deliberately targeted, anti-police attack last week. During his comments, O’Neil slammed liberals in Hollywood and other liberal sectors for being wholly absent after this mother of three was gunned down, ConservativeTribune reported.

“Let me tell you something,” O’Neil said from the stage. “Regular people sign up to be cops. They sign up for this job of protecting strangers, knowing there are inherent risks. But not one of us ever agreed to be murdered in an act of indefensible hate. Not one of us signed up to never return to our family or loved ones.”

O’Neil went on saying, “So, where are the demonstrations for this single mom, who cared for her elderly mother and her own three children?”

At that, the room erupted in wall-to-wall applause and the officers there were soon on their feet in appreciation of their Commissioner’s words.

“There is anger and sorrow, but why is there no outrage?” O’Neil concluded. “Because Miosotis was wearing a uniform? Because it was her job? I simply do not accept that. Miosotis was targeted, ambushed, and assassinated. She wasn’t even given a chance to defend herself. That should matter to every single person who can hear my voice in New York City and beyond.”

Commissioner O’Neil is exactly right. All those loudmouthed haters in Hollywood have been completely silent over the horrendous assassination of Officer Familia.

Indeed, the silence of liberals and Hollywood alike makes the lie to their claim that they care about women and minorities. After all, Officer Familia was both a woman and a minority.

Yet not a word has come from the left about this terrible crime.

Commissioner O’Neil touched on an important point when he asked why no one cares about Familia’s death.

He noted that some dismiss the deaths of police officers because “it’s their job” to be placed in danger.

But no one, anywhere, signs up to be brutally assassinated without even being afforded a chance to defend themselves.

So, if you are one of those heartless creeps who dismiss the deaths of police because “it’s their job,” you need to rethink your position.
